Chris Shimp
Chris Shimp is a Columbus High ('04) graduate and founder/President of the Liberty Park Neighborhood Association. Chris has actively volunteered for many community events and festivals, including Friday'loo, BBQ'Loo and Blues Too, and My Waterloo Days, where he served as Chairman in 2016.
Chris believes that improving public safety, Waterloo's public image, infrastructure maintenance, economic development and fiscal responsibility are important to improving citizens' lives. He holds an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Hawkeye Community College and is currently a political science major at the University of Iowa (through distance education). Chris has two children -- Addyson (6) and Ethan (1), and a yellow lab named Brizzy.
