American Airlines Announces December and Early January Schedules
Recently, American Airlines provided notice to City and Airport officials regarding the flight schedule from Waterloo to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, effective Wednesday, December 2nd, in time to schedule December and New Year’s Holiday season travel.
Airport officials are optimistic that passengers throughout the Greater Cedar Valley Region will support the service with a growing number of passengers, to not just support the new schedule, but also to continue renewed confidence to officials at American Airlines that Waterloo and the Cedar Valley can support the flight schedule, as published, with the schedule as follows:

Keith Kaspari, Airport Director at Waterloo Regional Airport, provided comment, “The airline industry continues to operate in a very difficult time. With the above schedule, this provides passengers throughout the Greater Cedar Valley Region a life-line for access to the National Air Transportation System for all communities that are seeing significantly reduced levels of scheduled air service for passenger travel.”
In closing, Kaspari provided comment that airports of all sizes, and the airline industry are still only performing at an approximate 25% to low 30% passenger load factor compared to pre-COVID passenger levels. “Therefore I would encourage all Cedar Valley passengers needing to fly, to support ALO’s airline schedule – whereby airfares via WWW.AA.COM or 1-800-433-7300, remain very attractive.”
