Waterloo Housing Authority Offering Home Buyer Education Classes

April Home Buyer 24The Waterloo Housing Authority is offering a home buyer education class. Thanks to a sponsorship from GreenState and Veridian Credit Unions , this class will be offered for free for 30 participants. 

Topics covered include managing money, understanding credit, figuring out affordability, mortgages, buying a home and shopping for a home. 

The four sessions start April 9 at the Waterloo Center for the Arts and participants must attend all four to receive a certificate. The classes are from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th. 

The class is a prerequisite for down payment assistance and voucher home ownership. To learn more about this program, click here. 

Registration is required. Participants need to pick up a registration form with an instruction sheet located at the Waterloo Housing Authority, 620 Mulberry St. #102 in Waterloo. The form must be filled out and returned with a proof of income.
